Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Good prices - great food. We've only gotten takeout from here so I can only speak for service on that end but the food is always ready in 10 minutes. We've tried a variety of burritos and enchiladas - great rice, beans, chips and salsa. My favorite meal so far is the camarones mojo de ajo - very very tasty sauce. Plus I love their takeout aluminum containers - food stays super warm.

This was the only time I have been here, the food was good, chips and salsa were fresh and really good. I had the lunch combo with one enchilada, one chill relleno - which is an omelette with chilli inside , one taco and one bean tostada. (I did the de la olla beans - which is nothing but BOILED beans), that was good too. The service was pretty good and food was quick. I absolutely loved the ambiance, felt the KID inside me because it was soo colorful, with some fancy chairs and tables.

This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to, and even get carry out. My husband likes a variety of the burritos and I think they have the best tamales in town.

My favorite Mexican food in Sioux Falls. The food is always fresh. I love the salsa. The service is fast and friendly.

Very quick and friendly service, and delicious Mexican food. Portions have gotten smaller since they first opened though, and the presentation of their food is not nearly as appealing as it used to be.

Camarandos mojo ajo is the best! Shrimp, mushrooms in garlic red sauce is delicious!!

The outside does not do the business justice. Once inside, the decor and food were great. Chips and salsa were both homemade and very tasty. My enchiladas and beef taco were excellent and served promptly by our very helpful waiter. Our waiter also kept my iced tea glass full, which is no easy task. I would highly recommend to anyone that loves Mexican food. The locales that probably know very good authentic Mexican food better than I were the majority of customers, so I take that as a good sign.

Guadalajara's is a staple in Brookings. Now that my family and I moved to Sioux Falls, we were thrilled to learn that a Sioux Falls location was added (I know, I know, it's been a couple years ago now!) This place is great. The decor is awesome, service is fantastic, and the food is great! I'm not sure if I've ever had my drink go below half full, and the endless chips and salsa are terrific. I've never left less than amazed - and stuffed!

I stopped in again on my way through town and the food and service were again top notch. I had fajitas and tamale and, along with the chips, salsa and queso, I left full and happy, even without a margarita! The staff at this place is amazing - the servers are friendly and efficient and the kitchen staff is FAST. I have been surprised both times at how quickly the food comes out - especially considering how good it is. Well done Guadalajara!

I was driving from Wisconsin with many stops down to Cali. I decided to come here for dinner and I was starving! The service was so quick that I got to eat very quickly and beer came even quicker! I ordered the Combination Two Tacos and Enchilada. With picadillo for meat. It was really good! The staff was very friendly and I think they call everyone "amigo.". Would definitely recommend coming here!

Tried this place for the first time. Wasn't too bad. You seem to get a decent amount of food for the price. I had a chicken taco, chicken enchilada and a tamale. The taco was really dry and the salsa didn't seem to help. The chicken in both dishes didn't have any flavor. Just plain cooked shredded chicken. The tamale had beef in it which I didn't know when I ordered it. I don't eat beef so that was a slight surprise. Also my plate was COVERED in cheese. Now I love cheese but it was even too much for me! I've been to loads of authentic Mexican restaurants and I don't know about this one. Willing to give it another shot.

Very good and authentic food. I had Shrimp and Mushrooms as an appetizer but it could have almost been a meal. Really enjoyed their food.

My wife and I tried it for the first time and was fantastic. She had the chili verde burrito an I has the carne asada. Both were great Growing up in Southern California, you get to know good Mexican, and in my humble opinion this is the best in Sioux Falls, and yes I have tried them all!

Guadalajara Mexican restaurant is a very good place for some Mexican fare in Southwest Sioux Falls. On our visit we were greeted promptly and seated immediately. The wait staff brought us some nachos and salsa. The chips are 2nd to none, and the salsa was very good, although it may be just slightly hot for some tastes. The entrees were very good. Pretty typical for this area. There are around 10-12 sit down Mexican restaurants in the area and I would rate it 3rd best.

Very colorful bright atmosphere, the food was very good. I would say it is in the top three of all the mexican resturants around Sioux Falls.

Excellent food, service, and décor - plus, very reasonably priced! If for no other reason, drop in just to enjoy the décor - all imported from Mexico, the highly detailed and colorful booths, chairs, and walls are a treat to enjoy. The food is fresh and tastes homemade - very delicious.
